What to expect when applying for a property with Fleetwood

When you first enquire about a property, you’ll be required to complete an initial application form online to ensure you meet the application requirements for the particular property you’re interested in. Once complete (and provided you meet the requirements) a viewing appointment will be booked for you. If you wish to proceed with your application after viewing the property, your contact details will be passed on (with your consent) to our referencing agent (Canopy), who will contact you to process your formal application. This is the stage where your credit, income and rental history will be assessed.

Requirements

Proof of affordability: Your overall monthly income (whether through employment or UC/PIP etc) will be assessed to ensure you meet the minimum affordability criteria.

Proof of ID/Citizenship/Right to rent: We’ll require evidence of your identity and citizenship, as well as your right to rent.

Reference: A reference from a minimum of one existing or prior landlord will be required.

Guarantor: A homeowner guarantor will be required if you can’t provide a reference.
